FAQ
Frequently asked questions
The things people ask most. If your question isn't here, message us and we'll answer it directly.
Why order sourcing instead of buying a car myself?
Buying on your own in Georgia always carries risk: the language barrier, hidden accident history, rolled-back mileage and tough negotiation. We take all of that on: we find the hidden defects, negotiate the price down (which often covers our fee) and help you buy a sound car.
Can I order sourcing or an inspection if I'm in Batumi, elsewhere in Georgia, or abroad?
Yes, about 60% of our clients buy remotely. We handle the search, the visits, the checks and the negotiation, sending you detailed reports. You only need to come in for a finished deal, or we'll walk you through doing it remotely.
Can a car be inspected without me being there?
Yes. We go to the seller ourselves, run the full diagnostic process with professional equipment, and send you a detailed photo/video report with a clear verdict: buy it or keep looking.
How quickly can you get to a car?
In Tbilisi and at the Rustavi car market we usually come out within 2–3 hours of your request. Trips to other regions we schedule individually.
How long does turnkey sourcing take?
On average 3 to 10 days, depending on your budget and how specific the request is. We discuss narrow requirements at the free consultation and give you a realistic timeline right away.
Do you guarantee the car you source?
No one can give a factory warranty on a used car, but we stand fully behind the accuracy of our report. If our specialist misses a defect they were required to catch under our inspection protocol, we cover the repair ourselves.
How long does turnkey sourcing take?
Usually one to four weeks. It depends how narrow the requirements are: a common sedan in a mid budget turns up fast, a rare trim can take a month.
What makes up the final price of a car from the US?
The lot price at auction, auction fees, shipping to the port of Poti, customs clearance and excise based on age and engine size, repairs if needed, and our fee (from $500). We show you the full calculation before placing a bid.
Do you handle customs and registration?
Yes, on imports it's part of the service. On cars bought locally we stay with you through the transfer and registration.
Can I use your report to negotiate?
That's what it's for. Every defect comes with a repair cost estimate, which is a ready-made argument.
What languages do you work in?
Russian, English and Georgian. We handle the paperwork and the seller in whichever language suits both sides.
How does payment work?
Cash or transfer, in GEL at the day's rate.
Why does an inspection cost $100 when others charge 70–100 GEL?
For $100 we check 80+ parameters (the body with a paint gauge, the electronics with a scanner, the running gear on a drive, the paperwork), and a Carfax report is already included. Every defect comes with a repair cost estimate: a ready-made negotiating argument that typically takes $500–2,500 off the price. And we stand behind the result with money: a defect missed against our protocol is fixed at our expense. You pay after the inspection.
