Container shipping times to Poti port have dropped
A route change for some of our container shipments has cut the average transit time from the US port of origin to Poti. For clients on our turnkey import service, that means a shorter, more predictable wait for the car.
Some of the container lines we use for shipping cars from the US have switched to a route with fewer intermediate transfers. On average, that cuts a few days off transit time to Poti compared with last year.
The exact timeline still depends on the port of origin in the US and how booked the specific line is, so when we quote an import, we give a timeline for that lot and route, not a general estimate.
