1,400 cars inspected: Car Select's numbers so far
Since 2019 we've run more than 1,400 on-site inspections. Here's the data: how often we find a serious defect, and how much our reports typically shave off the price.

More than 1,400 cars have gone through an on-site inspection with us. Roughly nine times out of ten, the report turns up at least one defect the listing never mentioned, anything from a spot respray to a rolled-back odometer.
The average discount clients negotiate off the back of a report runs $500 to $2,500, depending on what we find and the car's class, which is several times the cost of the inspection itself.
Thanks to everyone who left a review after their deal, including the ones pointing out what could've gone better. We use that feedback to refine the inspection protocol.
